A candy sale is one of the most popular school fundraising ideas there is. People of all ages find it hard to resist candy and especially when a young child is the salesperson!

If there is a school carnival being planned in the future a raffle is an excellent way to make some money. This old standby has been used for decades and it is easy to set up and is quite successful. You can use donated prizes to make 100% profit with this idea so do not overlook it. You just set the prizes out on a table and people purchase ‘chance tickets’ to use to try to win the prizes. The purchased ‘chance ticket’ is simply placed into a box next to the desired prize and of course the more tickets purchased the greater the odds of winning. At the end of a pre-determined period of time, have the kids draw the winning tickets out of the boxes so that the prizes are awarded to the lucky winners. A raffle is probably the oldest type of school fundraiser there is but it is also one of the easiest and most profitable to run.
